CBeebies Bedtime Story is no stranger to big names, with actor Tom Hardy being a firm favourite, as well as Elton John, Rege-Jean Page, Dolly Parton, and Ryan Reynolds having taken on the job of reading a story to the young children of Britain before bed. Now they are getting the Royal Treatment, Catherine will be the first time a member of the Royal Family has read on Bedtime Story, but not the first time a Royal has read a Children’s story on the BBC, Prince Charles read The Old Man of Lochnagar on Jackanory in 1984.
In her appearance on CBeebies Bedtime Story, Catherine will read The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark by Jill Tomlinson; it is schedule to mark Children’s Mental Health Week, but will also coincide with the 20th anniversary of CBeebies and CBBC, the BBC’s children’s offering.
I am unsure if it will be possible to view this if you are not in the UK, or if you don’t already have a BBC license. If I find a way for international viewers to enjoy this, I will share it here, and on my social media.
Editor’s Note: If anyone knows of anywhere that I can watch the Tom Ellis episode, PLEASE let me know. I really enjoy him in most roles so I feel like I can spend a few minutes listening to him read a bedtime story.
