The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have done it yet again! Yesterday, they released new portraits to mark their 10th wedding anniversary. Today, they thanked the public in a personal message on Twitter and with it they released this video.
Okay, let’s back up just a bit here.
Thank you to everyone for the kind messages on our wedding anniversary. We are enormously grateful for the 10 years of support we have received in our lives as a family. W & C

It’s really rare that we get a personal tweet from either the Duke or the Duchess and when we do they are mostly from the Duke and about Football. So, to get one from them both and to have it be so personal is just AMAZING.
my thoughts on the video
Y’all, I…I’m speechless. I am never speechless. I had been hoping for some new portraits, we got those. Yes, I wanted portraits with full regalia. They chose not to go the full on Prince and Princess Charming route. William and Catherine took us down a much more enjoyable path. But I never dreamed we’d get to see scenes like this. I…I…just go watch it again.
When did they shoot this?
Well, it is impossible to know the exact date, of course, but we do know a couple of things.
- This video explains, or could explain where the mud on the boots came from in the the Cambridge Christmas Card
- Catherine also had her portrait for the Hold Still Exhibition Book/a> taken that day.
- The Duke and Duchess are just like tons of families I know when it comes to pictures and videos like this. They get as much bang out of one photoshoot or beach day as they can. Kudos to the photographers, videographer, and Catherine for getting so much great stuff out of one day.
