The Cambridge Christmas card is here. Wowza! Quite simply, photographer Matt Porteous has done it AGAIN! A slightly blurry version of this photo has been making the rounds on the internet for about a week. I was keeping my fingers crossed that we might get a look at the crystal clear, high resolution version.
Matt Porteous took the photo featured on the Cambridge Christmas card in the autumn at Anmer Hall.
My first thoughts were of how warm and cozy this image feels. The rich tones in the fabric, the relaxed denim worn by all, definitely cozy. The casual piled on pose on a hay bale in front of the wood pile….screams normal family. It all makes me want to grab a mug of hot tea or cocoa and join them for a chat or just watching the three kids play outside.
I don’t know if it’s possible to get a better photo, but I am sure someone (probably Matt) will try again next year and I am already looking forward to it, while I find a space for this one on my wall.

A Bit About the Photographer

Matt photographed Prince George for his third birthday. But, the Royal photography did not end there. He’s been tapped for birthday portraits, and Christmas Cards….and Christenings repeatedly since then.
